Botulinum Toxin
Botulinum toxin is a purified neurotoxin protein that temporarily relaxes specifically targeted muscles. It has been safely used for over 3 decades around the world, for 15 US FDA approved treatment indications. In aesthetic treatments, it is most commonly used to soften dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles that appear in expression), and to slow new lines from forming, helping you achieve a smoother, more refreshed appearance.
These treatments work by temporarily reducing the activity of specific facial muscles that cause expression lines—such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines, that occur when we smile, frown, or raise our eyebrows. As we age, these wrinkles can appear harsher, and even distracting. Botulinum toxin works by gently relaxing the corresponding muscles, softening the wrinkles, and smoothening the surrounding skin.
When performed correctly, the result is a natural, well-rested look—while maintaining natural facial expressions.
Botulinum toxin has a strong safety profile when administered by trained medical professionals. Treatments are quick, minimally invasive, and require little to no downtime.
